Pankrác, the development company of a former Czech tennis star, is preparing to tear down a series of abandoned industrial halls in Prague 9 that it will replace with a major new residential scheme called Vivus Kolbenova. The server E15 reports that the multi-phase project involves the construction of around 1,000 new flats will cost a total of more than CZK 3bn. Demolition is expected to be completed by the end of the year, clearing the way for the new buildings, which will include retail and office space around the entrance to the Kolbenova metro station. Completion of the project is expected in 2022, according to E15. Pankrác, owned by the Milan Šrejber, acquired the land for the project from the developer CODECO.
