$4.8m office building sold in central Darien, CT

Hawthorne Realty has closed on the disposition of 800 Post Road in downtown Darien, CT. for $4.8 million. Located within walking distance to the Darien train station and with close access to I-95, 800 Post Road is a fully-leased three-story office and retail property. Two tenants occupy the ground floor retail space, while medical/professional office tenants are on floors two and three. Louis Zuckerman and Patrick Colwell of CBRE Group’s Westchester/Fairfield represented the seller and procured the buyer, JEM Holdings, a New York based investment company.

“The buyer assumed the ground lease ownership of 800 Post Rd. with a terrific investment opportunity,” notes Mr. Zuckerman. “Given the property’s solid tenant base, as well as its central location at the epicenter of downtown Darien, it was a can’t miss investment.”
