In its December meeting, the Boston Planning & Development Agency board of directors has given the green light to three multifamily projects with an investment cost of approximately $486m. The new developments are expected to include 541 units (of which 67 are to be affordable), which are are projected to add approximately 1.4 million square feet of residential space to Boston neighborhoods and to create more than 395 permanent jobs. The largest of the three schemes will include a project at 264 Huntington Ave. Boston, which will boast 426 units, 7,500 square feet of retail space and 114 underground parking spaces. The other two projects will be located at 75-85 Liverpool St., 46 Hichborn St. in Brighton and 256 Dorchester St. in South Boston.
