According to the Accor report, more than half of the European respondents narrow down their trips to the Old Continent, and South America is planning to visit 13%, and Southeast Asia – 11%. The south of Europe is the direction most often indicated by the respondents as a holiday destination. Poles most willingly choose Spain (40%), Italy (39%), Greece (33%) or Croatia (32%). We are least interested in traveling to Latvia (4%), Serbia and Moldova (5% each). The willingness to get to know local places and discover new places in the country is declared by 22% of Poles – more than in 2019, it further reported.

The report is the result of a survey of a population of 6,000 adults from Poland, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands and Russia. The survey sample included 2,000 people in the UK and 1,000 people in each of the other markets. The study was conducted by OnePoll from September 22 to October 18, 2021, and its follow-up between January 14 and 21, 2022, in the context of the appearance of the omicron variant.
