The Romanian office market secured approximately 85,000 sqm of lease deals in the first three months of the year, according to data compiled by Esop. Nearly 75 percent of the total, or 63,218 sqm, were for Bucharest projects, up 15 percent y-o-y. Transactions reported for the rest of the country doubled, from 10,957 sqm to 21,782 sqm. Renewals and relocations made up approximately 47,200 sqm, while new contracts accounted for 37,779 sqm.
The biggest lease agreements signed during Q1 included Oracle’s 10,400 sqm lease at SkyTower in Bucharest and Carrefour taking 6,500 sqm at Green Court Bucharest.
