Finishing six months ahead of schedule, the first 9.5 km section of the Timisoara-Lugoj highway was opened to traffic yesterday.
This highway section will connect the DN6 Timisoara- Lugoj and Arad-Timisoara motorways. Construction was carried out by SC Spedition UMB SRL, SC Tehnostrade SRL and Carena SpA Impresa di Construzioni, with work having begun last October.
Once completed the Timisoara-Lugoj highway will cover 35 km. The total value of the project is RON 1.4bn.
