In Croatia, there are currently six European and 12 global hotel brands, providing a total of 46 branded hotels and 9,500 rooms. Despite substantial demand from tourists, the top international brands are still largley missing in the country. Currently, just 25 percent of all hotel accommodations are top international brands such as Hilton (present in Dubrovnik and Zagreb), Marriot, Kempinski, Radisson Blu, Park Plaza, Best Western and Rixos. Other brands already active in the country include Falkensteiner, Karisma, Life class, Arcotel, The Leading Hotels of the World, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Designhotels and others. In Croatia, the 10 biggest domestic hotels and tourist companies are manging 40 percent of the total hotel rooms. However, Four Seasons is coming to the island of Hvar, Amanresort is to open in Cavtat and the Ritz Carlton will establish a base in Kupare.
