Mattell opens 3rd U.S. distribution center

Mattel Inc. has opened a new distribution center in Jonestown, Pennsylvania. Situated in the Gateway Logistics Park, the 1 million square foot facility will be used as storage for Mattel and eventually Fisher-Price’s line of toys. Located at the junction of Interstate 81 and Interstate 78, the building features 36-foot clear heights, 15,000 sqf of office space and up to 450 secured off-building trailer storage stalls. Mattel entered a long-term lease agreement with MRP Industrial and Clarion Partners joint-ventured for the development of the facility in September 2016. The new scheme will mark Mattel’s third U.S. distribution center. Ryder System will operate and staff the facility.
