Israelis start construction of mixed-used complex in Belgrade

20 July 2017

Construction is to begin in late August on a new commercial and residential complex on Kneza Milosa street in Belgrade. The land belonged previously to the US embassy, before the Americans decided to move to a new location in the city. The Israeli companies Yossi Avrahami and Almogim Holdings bought the 14,000 plot in September 2016. Demolition of the former embassy began in June, with the removal planned of all buildings except the old and authentic front building in Kneza Milosa street. The developers will be replacing the structure with a luxurious residential and office complex, which will be built by local construction companies. The new scheme will offer 260 flats, 500 parking spaces and 5,000 sqm of office space. Completion is expected in 2019.
