Construction output in Hungary grew by 35.4% in May

The Hungarian construction volume grew by 35.4 percent y-o-y in May, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Building construction increased by 27.2 percent, while engineering work was up by 46.7 percent for the month, the data shows. The increase in building construction was primarily driven by industrial and warehouse schemes and, to a lesser extent, by sports and educational facilities. As for civil engineering, production was driven by road and railway construction work, according to KSH.
