ESJ Capital Partners have kicked off construction on the Avant Garde Academy Westchase in Tampa, its 33rd overall school project. The $18.6 million facility, located at 3901 Sheldon Rd., will include 67,000 square feet of educational space to be built in two phases. Avant Garde Westchase will be a K-8 school, and will open as a K-6 school for the 2017-2018 school year. The school will be ESJ’s second wholly-owned property serving Avant Garde Academy, and brings the diversified fund’s overall portfolio of charter schools across the nation to 27. “This groundbreaking marks another milestone that places ESJ at the forefront of strategic partnerships that ultimately serve communities and meets their most pressing needs,” said Arnaud Sitbon, President and CEO of ESJ.
