Construction of The NINE at Gainesville, a 180-unit student housing development near the University of Florida, has begun. The developers, Batson-Cook Development Co. and Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors have designed a a $54 million project with 627 beds and 216,540 sqf. All units will be fully furnished, with private bathrooms, and will also feature in-unit washers and dryers. Property amenities will include a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, study rooms and a café. Arco Murray Construction Co. is the general contractor for the scheme that is expected to be ready by the summer of 2018.
