19 June 2017

CPI plans to start demolishing some of the existing buildings in Brno’s Zbrojovka area. The company is planning to redevelop the former arms manufacturing plant into office, flats, shops, services and light production, according to CPI spokesman Jan Burian, who told e15 that the company is also in negotiations with potential tenants for some of the buildings where individual studies will be prepared to suit the needs of the users. Zbrojovka offers 20 ha of development land, with more than 100 existing buildings. CPI will redevelop the vast brownfield in phases. It plans to start with the refurbishment of a five-story building it intends to renovate into a nine-story office building. The redevelopment of the whole area is scheduled for completion in 2027. The project will include 800 flats, 30,000 sqm of office, 40,000 sqm of industrial space and 3,600 sqm of retail.
