The Czech-based Cimex group claims to have lost control of 15 of its SPVs through fraud. The financial group told police that ownership in the companies, including their statutory bodies, were changed in the company register. The server e15 reports that Cimex held valuable assets in these SPVs, including Orea Hotels, Pyramida hotel in Prague 6 and the Zvon hotel in Mariánské lázně. Cimex’s director of internal affairs Pavel Šťastný told e15 that the takeover was accomplished using falsified documents. The companies are apparently now under the control of the company Philomena, run by Viktor Chlup, which e15 reports is already being investigated by the country’s anti-organized crime body.
