Szarowicz named first female president of CASF

The Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) has elected Mindy Szarowicz to serve as President of its Board of Directors. Szarowicz, who has served on CASF’s board for seven years, is the organization’s first female president. She is a LEED-accredited professional with 10 years of experience in South Florida construction, is the Director of Business Development for the South Florida office of Baker Concrete Construction. In addition to serving on CASF’s board, she sits on the board of the Construction Executives Association and on Urban Land Institute’s Florida Product Council for Hospitality and Recreational Development. CASF provides its 500-plus members, representing all facets of the construction industry, with education, advocacy and networking opportunities. Remy Mackowski, Executive Director of CASF said that her long experience with CASF and “her understanding of the issues that impact the construction industry, make her a tremendous asset to our organization and its members.”
