Central Group has entrusted architect Jakub Cigler to create an urban concept for its residential project Parková čtvrť (Park neighborhood). At the same time, it chose seven Czech architectural studios from 37 proposals it solicited for the basic architectural concept of the development zone, located in the defunct Žižkov freight station complex in Prague 3. The developer chose 11 concepts proposed by the seven Czech studios to create what director Dušan Kunovský describes as an architecturally diverse city blocks, including 6 high rise towers. Kunovský says that Central Group agreed with architect Cigler and with Prague mayor Adriana Krnáčová that the project will be nominated to compete at the MIPIM Awards as an example of brownfield revitalization.
