City close to agreement with landowners for planned Krč metro station

12 June 2017

Prague is nearing agreement with owners of land opposite the Thomayer hospital in Prague 4, where the city is trying to buy a site needed for the Krč station on the planned metro D line. The landowners, represented by Jakub Sklenka of Reflecta Development, want to build a large commercial center on the site and they’re willing to allow the station to be built on the site as well. The city has agreed to change the master plan to enable construction of the commercial center. Sklenka submitted a study on the 100,000 sqm project. The study is yet to be reviewed by Metroprojekt, which designs the metro D route for the city, writes aktualne.cz. Metro D will be eight km long and will have eight stations. Prague hoped to be able to complete the D line by 2023. The city is also hoping to work with developers in Prague as co-investors in the enormous infrastructure project.
