9 May 2017

CTP is building a students’ dormitory in Brno as part of its Ponávka business park in the center of the city. The project, to be called Domeq, is to open for the autumn university session. Costs are expected to be in the vicinity of CZK 175m and the developer believes the investment will return in nine years, according to what Tomáš Tesař, marketing manager of CTP, told the weekly Euro. Vos is the strongest CE player in office and logistic and plans to offer the students accommodation to the children of his clients, who lease space in his projects. Domeq will offer small flats with kitchen and bathroom. The restaurant and bar will be on the groundfloor, along with fitness center, a shop and laundry. The developer plans to target students, who are more well-off and travel a lot and demand higher standard of students’ dormitories. In Brno, there are 70,000 students, who spend a total of CZK 5bn annually, or CZK 7,830 per month. CTP therefore considers building Domeqs also in Prague and Bucharest.
