The Düsseldor-based property developer Gerchgroup has acquired Deutz-Areal in Köln-Mülheim. The 160,000 sqm site will be turned into new city quarter with a focus on residential. The estimated investment volume is €1bn. Gerchgroup was advised by Lars Kölling from Rotthege Wassermann. JLL also acted as an advisor. Deutz-Areal will be Gerschgroup’s third major development following Garden Campus Vaihingen in Stuttgart and Holsten Quartieren in Hamburg.
