Archeology research may delay Penta’s Zaha Hadid project in Prague 1

2 May 2017

Archeological research on a site between the Masarykovo train station in Prague 1 and Florenc in Prague 8 on which Penta plans to build a major project designed by Zaha Hadid may delay the start of construction. Penta hoped it would be able to break ground on the first office building along Na Florenci street before the end of 2017, but Hospodářské noviny writes that archaeological findings may even lead to changes in the project. Starting this summer, archaeologists will start conducting research along Na Florenci street opposite the Florentinum complex, Penta’s first development in Prague. Penta plans to invest CZK 10bn into the vast development but still needs to buy a plot at Florenc, where ČSAD plans to build a seven-story office building called Florenc Gate.
