The Kulturpalast concert hall in Dresden is set to reopen following a thorough refurbishment by von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (GMP Architekten). The main concert hall, which is listed as a historic monument, as well as its new building, which has about 1,800 seats, were both renovated. TGMP Architekten won the competition for the project in 2009. The property, which is situated between the city’s Altmarkt, Schloss and Neumarkt areas, will officially reopen on Friday.
