Atlanta-based Pollack Shores has began construction on a new luxury apartment community in Orlando. The project will kick off within the next 60 days after demolition of the former Maitland Shores apartments is complete. The 238,000 sqf development will encompass three buildings totaling 237 apartments. Residents will have access to amenities including a pool, access to kayaks, canoes and paddle boats on Lake Gem; access to a newly rebuilt fishing dock with gathering areas and fire pits along with 20 private garages and walking and biking trails. Pollack acquired the property from SES Group Maitland Shores Ltd. Poole & Poole Architecture is handling design for the project, while Oxford Construction will serve as general contractor. The project is slated for completion in 15 months.
