Architecture and interior design firm CetraRuddy has been selected by the Hudson Companies for a new mixed-use project, 350 Clarkson, in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. Located at 350 Clarkson Avenue, the mixed use scheme includes 250 market rate rental apartments, along with 6,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. The eight story structure will offer a rooftop terrace, children’s play room, game room, a private screening room and garden. Leasing on the project, which is expected to achieve LEED, NYSERDA, and Energy Star certifications, will begin in early 2019. Hudson Cos. secured $63 million in construction financing for the development earlier this year.
“The design for the building references the neighborhood’s industrial past, with a façade featuring a rhythm of recessed masonry expressions and an accent of copper panels,” said CetraRuddy co-founding principal John Cetra. “At the base, a ground floor glass storefront provides visibility to the active retail spaces within.”
