Hungarian construction output up 15.2% in February

The volume of Hungarian construction output increased by 15.2 percent y-o-y in February, according the Central Statistical Office (KSH). The rise in building construction was primarily involved in industrial and warehouse buildings along with work on sports facilities and educational structures. Work on roads and railway also grew, but the KSH points out that these figures were starting from a low based.
The volume of new contracts was 43.5 percent higher than in the equivalent period of the previous year, within which the volume of new contracts concluded was up by 68.5 percent for the construction of buildings, and by 23.3 percent for civil engineering works.
