The construction of MLP Business Park Vienna has reached a significant milestone with the completion of its structural framework. A traditional topping-out ceremony, marking this achievement, was held recently. Attendees included representatives from MLP Group, future tenants such as ODÖRFER Haustechnik KG and an Austrian non-profit organisation, as well as the general contractor, Goldbeck Rhomberg. The project remains on track for completion, with the handover of facilities expected in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The MLP Business Park Vienna, a modern urban business park, is advancing according to schedule. With the structural framework now complete, the project enters its next phase of development. Goldbeck Rhomberg, the general contractor, has been pivotal in driving the construction forward since the foundation stone was laid in the spring of this year.
“We are thrilled to have reached this key milestone in the MLP Business Park Vienna’s development. This marks a major step toward realizing our vision of creating modern, sustainable business space. Located on a post-industrial site, this project is our flagship development and our first in the Austrian market. We are proud to provide eco-conscious, state-of-the-art facilities near Vienna, ideally suited for urban logistics operations. Our thanks go to Goldbeck Rhomberg for their outstanding partnership,” said Peter Falb, Chief Country Officer Austria, MLP Group.
Valentin Oswald, Branch Manager and Authorized Signatory at Goldbeck Rhomberg, also commented on the rapid progress of the project. “The shell of the building is already complete, thanks to the smooth cooperation between all parties involved. We began construction in the spring, and it’s exciting to see the pace at which the project is moving forward.”
Once completed, the MLP Business Park Vienna will feature four buildings, offering around 55,000 square meters of advanced business space. Units start from approximately 3,100 square meters, primarily catering to urban logistics, e-commerce, and light manufacturing businesses. The park will also host companies specializing in car sales, assembly, and servicing.
Sustainability is a key element of the development, with features such as green roofs, solar photovoltaic systems, and landscaped recreational areas, including a pond, aimed at enhancing tenant well-being. The project is targeting the prestigious ÖGNI Gold certification for sustainable construction.
Located on a 10-hectare site just 13 kilometres from central Vienna, MLP Business Park Vienna benefits from excellent connectivity, including proximity to the S2/A23 motorway and Vienna Schwechat Airport, which is only 23 kilometres away. Public bus and train services are also available nearby.
MLP Group, following its build-and-hold strategy, will retain the completed business park in its portfolio for long-term management. Known for strategic locations and tailor-made solutions, MLP Group supports its tenants throughout their lease periods, offering attractive spaces designed to meet specific needs.
