Day 3 of protests over Serbia presidential results

6 April 2017

Protests over the outcome of Serbia’s recent presidential election have raged for three days. While the election results are still not official, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić grabbed more than 55 percent of the vote in the first round. Protesters are calling the results irregular, claiming that the election campaign was suspicious and unfair, and are accusing the Serbian Progressive Party of running a dictatorship. Marko Đurić of member of the Serbian Progressive Party, meanwhile, fired back, calling the protests “unlawful.”
