Skanska CDE reports record results for 2016

Skanska Commercial Development Europe had 200,000 sqm of office under construction, leased 170,000 sqm of office space around the CEE region and offloaded two office buildings and a hotel worth a total of €211m in 2016. Hansainvest Real Assets acquired the Atrium 2 office building in Warsaw, while Erste Alapkezelő Zrt snapped up the Nordic Light office project in Budapest, and Qatari investor Al Sraiya Holding Group purchased the Westin Hotel in Warsaw.
Skanska expanded its landbank with the purchase of a site on the ONZ roundabout in Warsaw, while Skanka TFI was established to manage a closed investment fund in Poland.

In the Czech Republic, Skanska Property has two ongoing projects – Five in Prague 5-Smíchov and Visionary in Prague 7-Holešovice. Five is nearing completion, and negotiations are underway with the last potential tenant to take the remaining 10 percent of the space in the building. Skanska has also returned to Prague 8-Karlín and plans an office building Praga Studios next to its Corso Court headquarters.
