The Swedish investor Contentus has acquired Town University Luxury Apartments in Davie, FL, for $35.4 million. The transaction is the company’s first for Contentus in the United States. The newly completed property encompasses 232 units in eight buildings and offers a steam room, a cyber café and coffee bar along with a fitness center. Located at 5500 S University Dr., the asset changed hands for just over $152,586 per unit. Walker & Dunlop Inc. facilitated both the sale and a 10-year acquisition loan for the property. Contentus CEO Rickard Ohlsson said that the company has been considering a foray into the South Florida multifamily market for some years. “The acquisition contributes to our company’s planned increased growth and diversification,” he said.
