Czech billionaire Petr Kellner secured a planning permit for the Open Gate boarding school campus in Prague 6-Hanspaulka. Construction could start before the end of the year. Kellner plans to build the school on the site where the now demolished Hotel Praha once stood above busy Evropská street. The complex will include an elementary school, middle school and high school. The project will have twice the capacity of the first Open Gate school, which Kellner opened in 2005 in Babice outside Prague. The school will replace the former Hotel Praha parking garages in the lower part of the area, while the rest will serve as a park. The project, designed by DAM architects, also includes a planetarium.
