1.3 ha site in Petržalka goes under hammer

23 January 2017

Creditors of Auto Bavarija, a bankrupt vendor of BMW cars, are planning to sell a 1.3 ha site owned by the company in Bratislava’s Petržalka district at an auction on Feb. 15. The starting price is €1.97m for the plot stretching between Panónska, Dolnozemska and Jasovska streets. Creditors include Tatra banka with a €2.2m claim, Financial directorate (€446,000) and the City of Bratislava (€11,000). The site will not be attractive for residential developers, as the local master plan only allows for the construction of wholesale, showrooms, stores, distribution centers and logistic parks. Auto Bavarija had planned to build a BMW store with a showroom on the site.
