Barcelona had the most expensive rents in Spain in 2016, ahead of Madrid and San Sebastian, according to Fotocasa’s annual report. Rents in the city are now more than they were in 2007, before the financial crisis hit. The city with the second most expensive rents in Spain is Ibiza followed by Gavà. The trend is expected to continue this year, according to the report.
