HB Reavis to build 310 meter office building in Warsaw

12 January 2017

HB Reavis has unveiled its next landmark office project in Warsaw, a €500m trio of buildings called Varso. The tallest of them is a 310-meter office tower, which the developer claims will be Europe’s tallest. The 140,000 sqm complex will be built on the corner of Chmielna, Al. Jana Pawła II and Żelazna streets in Warsaw’s CBD. The company claims to have signed a letter of intent with the first tenant whose name it wouldn’t provide at this stage. One of the buildings could be used as a hotel, depending on the outcome of talks begun recently with an operator.

HB Reavis Construction will oversee work on the complex, which began in December and is expected to complete in 2020. Having begun construction using its own equity, the developer is in talks with a consortium of banks about financing. Foster + Partners provided the design for the tower, while Hermanowicz Rewski Architekci designed two other buildings.
