The hypermarket at Avion Shopping Park in Bratislava is being modernized as Kaufland prepares to take over the space from Hypernova. Work will start this month with reopening scheduled for the fall. Customers will be able to shop for groceries at a temporary 200 sqm Delia supermarket, which will open in March. The shopping center’s hypermarket space will be downsized from 13,500 sqm to 5,700 sqm. The vacant space will be used for additional shops, a food court with 14 restaurants and a terrace as well as a children’s corner. Hypernova is downsizing its business in Slovakia and plans to keep only five of its 20 stores.
