The IBT Group of Miami has been selected by the Salvadoran Institute of Social Security (ISSS) to construct the new San Miguel Regional Hospital in El Salvador. Representatives of IBT Group of Miami, a Eurofinsa Group company, and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), which is financing the $59.4 million project, signed the contract Nov. 10 in San Salvador. The scope of work includes dismantling and demolition of existing infrastructure, new construction, and the supply and installation of equipment. The existing emergency service will be remodeled. Headquartered in Miami, IBT Group has subsidiaries in Madrid, London and Paris, and employs 4,500 people in 31 countries.
“IBT Group has consolidated experience in the construction of turnkey hospitals and medical centers in Latin American countries such as the Dominican Republic, Peru and Panama,” said Daniel Toledano, managing director and chief operating officer of IBT Group of Miami.
