According to the latest report of RR Acuña, home prices will have risen by around 2.3 percent by the end of 2016 and will gradually increase to reach a growth rate of 5 percent in 2018. Demand for new homes will reach a minimum in 2016, with almost 82,000 homes. However, a tentative equilibrium between supply and demand should be reached in 2018, with a stock of 341,000 homes, according to the company. It writes that demand has strengthened in the main Spanish metropolitan areas and along the tourist coasts over the last two years, thanks to growing expectations of economic growth and significant improvement in employment figures.
