Metrostav and OHL to rebuild Pilsen railway hub

20 December 2016

Metrostav and OHL are to continue repairs to the main railway junction in Pilsen. The two contractors won a tender for the largest order to be handed out in 2016 with a bit of CZK 948m, 20 percent lower than the national railway operator (SZDC) had estimated. In all, five consortiums competed for the job. SZDC announced it has signed a contract with Metrostav and OHL. Alpine Bau, Berger Bohemia and TSS came in second in the tender. The order is the second phase of modernization and repair of Pilsen’s railway hub, including bridges in Mikulášská street. Skanska is working on the first phase that was originally scheduled for completion a year ago.
