A total of 291 building permits were issued on the Macedonian market in October, down 10.7 percent y-o-y, according to the State Statistical Office. Of the total number of issued building permits, 187 (64.3 percent) were for buildings, 36 (12.4 percent) were for civil engineering structures, and 68 (23.3 percent) were for reconstructions.
A total of 675 dwellings are planned for construction, totaling 52,163 sqm of living space. The majority of the investors (66.3 percent) who obtained building permits in October are private persons, while the remaining were business entities (33.7 percent).
