The average monthly income per household member in Bulgaria was €668 in Q3, up 3.7 percent y-o-y, according to the National Statistics Institute. The average monthly expenditure per household member for the three-month period totaled €625, up 4.7 percent y-o-y.
People spent most of their monthly income on food (31.6 percent), followed by housing expenses (16.7 percent), taxes and social insurance contributions (11.6 percent) and transport and communication (10.8 percent).
