Poland’s tenant market weakens

16 November 2016

Demand from international tenants is weakening, with Poland’s tenant market hitting a three-year low, according to RICS. In its Poland Commercial Property Monitor, RICS writes that demand from office and industrial tenants fell to 2013 levels in the third quarter of the year, while demand for retail space in Poland has also slowed. It’s the first drop seen on the Polish retail tenant market since the first quarter of 2015.
Supply of new commercial space, meanwhile, continues to grow at a significant pace, particularly in the country’s office sector, RICS points out. “Expanding supply is pushing landlords to increase the value of incentives aimed to attract potential tenants,” the association wrote.
