Ivan Líška, the developer of a project called Yosaria Plaza planned for Bratislava’s Ružinov district, has once again claimed that a new investor is entering the game, and the district will soon get rid of the shell of the never-completed shopping center, nicknamed by local residents as Hirošima. Líška started the ambitious project back in 2007. He announced plans to rebuild the socialist-era Prior department store into an extensive shopping mall with a leisure component called Yosaria Plaza, but was not able to secure financing once the economic crisis hit. Líška recently redesigned the project, adding offices and 200 flats and claims there are a few investors looking at it, but there are still legal issues that need to be resolved.
