Coral Gables-based Megastron Development has kicked of construction of a speculative office complex, Kirkman II, on International Drive and Kirkman Road. Located in the heart of the tourist district in southwest Orlando, the new scheme will feature a four story 134,000-square-foot, Class A office building with an estimated price tag of $20-$25 million. The building is expected to be delivered by the fourth quarter of 2017. CBRE has been tapped to lease the scheme.
“Considering the lack of large blocks of Class A office space available in the South Orlando market, Kirkman Point II is well positioned to capitalize on the strong demand for speculative space in this area,” said Jay Dixon, vice president of CBRE’s advisory and transaction services. “Orlando continues to attract major corporations due to the strong local labor pool and Kirkman Point II will provide a true Class A option in the dynamic South Orlando office market.”
