Colliers International has been tapped by Alabama-based homebuilder Battle Plan Capital to market Harbour Twenty-Six. The 5.5-acre marina development site is located on the south fork of the New River near downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Previously known as Pier 17, the development site is envisioned as the only partially covered mega-yacht marina in south Florida, dedicated for 26 yachts measuring up to 170 feet. The site plan, which has already received approval from the City of Fort Lauderdale, would include 22 covered and four uncovered slips measuring up to 170 feet, each with a garage and storage. The scheme, which is located at 1500 SW 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale’s Shady Banks neighborhood also includes a clubhouse with a pool. The site rests directly across from the country’s largest marine repair facility, Lauderdale Marine Center, which was acquired by the Carlyle Group in 2015.
“With demand growing for covered mega-yacht slips in south Florida, the shovel ready opportunity is ideal for investors who want to own a marina development site that can either be built as a rental or a as luxury documinium project,” said Bradley Arendt, Vice President of Colliers International South Florida who is marketing the property. “There’s not a better location to own a marina development site than Fort Lauderdale, home to more than 50,000 registered vessels, 300 navigable waterways and the largest boat show in the world,”
