The average gross wage on the Macedonian market increased to €532 in August, according to the latest figures published by the State Statistical Office. The increase was driven by a boost in pay in the following sectors: construction (10.9 percent), administrative and support service activities (6.1 percent) and public administration and defense (4.5 percent).
Several sectors reported a m-o-m decrease in pay for the month, including information and communication (3.2 percent), manufacturing (2.2 percent) and wholesale and retail trade (0.9 percent).
