Kostal’s new facility in Ohrid creates 1,000 new jobs in the area, which, according to VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski, has helped boost the Macedonian economy. The German automotive components manufacturer signed a €50m investment contract last year with the Macedonian government to build a manufacturing plant in the country’s Ohrid and Struga regions.
At the beginning of 2016, the German company started building a production plant in Ohrid and plans to open the facility by the end of the year.
