The Czech national railway operator SŽDC applied for a planning permit to extend the underground pedestrian passageway under the railway tracks at the Prague main train station to the city’s Vinohrady and Žižkov districts. The railway manager is planning to break ground on the extension in 2018, which will also include two new platforms between tracks 32 and 34. The passageway will be extended to Seifertova street in Žižkov as well as Mánesova and Vinohradská streets in Vinohrady. CR City, a JV created by Sudop Group, Czech Railways and Cyprian WDHL, plans to build an office complex Chrchill Square at Náměstí Winstona Churchilla at the Seifertova passageway opening. Sudop oversees the design for SŽDC.
