St. Wenceslas Property Fund (SWPF) has offloaded Vienna House Easy Chopin Prague hotel located near the city’s main train station on Opletalova street. The price of the transaction was not disclosed, but Cushman & Wakefield, who exclusively represented the seller, says that it represents a yield slightly exceeding 6 percent. The new owner is the Spanish chain Hotusa Hotels, which already operates two hotels in Prague but has not owned one until now. The Chopin hotel offers 80 economy rooms. SWPF owned Chopin hotel since 2005. Katalin Szável, managing director at Hunter REIM CZ, says that the company that manages SWPF made the decision to sell it as the lifecycle of the fund which included the hotel, came to an end. “In the future, we plan to focus exclusively on retail properties in the Czech Republic,” Szável says.
