International Monetary Fund cuts Polish growth forecast

The International Monetary Fund cut its forecast Poland’s GDP growth this year by 0.4 percent to 3.1 percent, down from 3.6 percent growth in 2015. According to World Economic Outlook, Poland’s GDP is expected to slow to 3 percent in 2021. The fund predicts inflation in the country will come in at 1.1 percent in 2017, then grow by another 0.2 percent to hit 2.5 percent in 2021, compared to 0.5 percent deflation in 2015. The fund expects that current account deficit will amount to 0.1 percent of Poland’s GDP.
