AFI Park, a Bucharest scheme by AFI Europe, has recieved the Best of the Best Office Development of the Year Award at CIJ Awards Europe 2016, which took place Sept 22, 2016 at the CEDEM Gala Party in Slovanský dům in Prague. Nominations for the CIJ Awards Europe are made up of service providers and projects completed in 2015 that won their category in the CIJ Awards 2015 in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Romania.
AFI Park, which was named Romania’s Best Office Development of the Year at the CIJ Awards for 2015, is a successful office park that’s seen as the major new IT&C hub for multinationals. It’s located next to the popular shopping mall, AFI Palace Cotroceni, which was developed by the same company.
Bryan Wilson, a founding Partner of Wilson & Partners, one of the leading independent law firms in the Czech and Slovak Republics, was among 14 judges that met to discuss the finalists at a round table session that took place 21st Sept at the Como restaurant in the Jalta Hotel, Prague. Wilson was asked to open the envelope at the awards ceremony and announce AFI Park as the winner of the Best of the Best Office Development of the Year Award – Hall of Fame. “The decision was heavily discussed at the judges dinner and the judges felt that the overall longevity of the development and the time and effort that AFI have put into this large scale project made it a worthy winner of this category and my congratulations go out to them,“ said Bryan Wilson.
