Nokian Tyres is planning to build an technology center in Santa Cruz de la Zarza, near Madrid. The Finnish tire company hopes to boost its year-round product development with the new center, which will go up on approximately 300 ha and include a 5 km oval track circling the area as well as other tracks to study and test the tires. Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2019, with the first phase coming on-line in 2017.
