Hotwire Communications leaves Pennsylvania for Ft. Lauderdale

19 September 2016

One of the nation’s leading fiber optics telecommunications providers, Hotwire Communications, has announced it will open its new headquarters, the Hotwire Technology Center, in Ft. Lauderdale. The headquarters, which is a relocation from Pennsylvania to Florida, will create 375 new jobs. The company will also invest more than $27 million in the local community. Hotwire Communications currently employs 300 Floridians. Founded in 2000, Hotwire is a telecommunications company that delivers customized fiber optic solutions to communities nationwide.

Florida Governor Rick Scott said the move by Hotwire Communications to Florida would create 375 new jobs in the state. “The new headquarters will also more than double their workforce in our state, which is great news for our families. Last year, I led a business development mission to Pennsylvania to share why Florida is the best location for businesses to grow. Because of our low taxes and business-friendly policies, I am glad to make this big announcement following last year’s trip.”
